Love Story’s Sarah Pidgeon Reacts to Costar Paul Anthony Kelly’s Emmys Snub

Being partners means Sarah Pidgeon will always stand by her costars.

After the Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette actress was nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie category for the 2026 Emmys, she shared her thoughts on Paul Anthony Kelly not earning a nod for his leading role.

“Of course, I was hoping that everyone—especially Paul—would be recognized,” Pidgeon told Variety in a recent interview. “Something I learned is that film, TV and theater, all of it really takes a village. It’s not a solo show, it’s not a solo performance.”

“Working with Paul Anthony Kelly was such a dream every single day,” she continued, “from the moment he walked into the audition room, and then every single day through a six-month-long shoot, seeing his evolution of John.”

And the 30-year-old—who is nominated alongside Claire Danes (The Beast in Me), Sally Field (Remarkably Bright Creatures), Carey Mulligan (Beef) and Sarah Snook (All Her Fault)—is certain that Kelly will have a golden career after his portrayal of former president John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis late son.
