Louisa Jacobson was blown away by that Grace Gummer performance, too.
While the Gilded Age actress was attending the Emmys 2026 to celebrate the series’ eight nominations, she couldn’t help but take a moment to praise her sister’s performance as Caroline Kennedy in Love Story.
“I’m so proud of my sister Grace Gummer for her work in Love Story,” Jacobson told E! News’ Keltie Knight during Live From E!: 2026 Emmys Sept. 14. “She’s phenomenal. So heartbreaking that scene in the last episode.” (To see everyone on the Emmys 2026 red carpet, click here.)
Indeed, the 35-year-old—youngest to parents Meryl Streep and Don Gummer, who also share Grace, 40, as well Henry Wolfe Gummer, 46, Mamie Gummer, 43—emphasized that the entire family was watching the Ryan Murphy series’ finale on the edge of their seats.
“We were all texting,” Jacobson added. “Our family thread was popping off. Like, ‘Ugh. We’re so sad. That was really heartbreaking.’” (Love Story, inspired by Carolyn Bessette Kennedy and John F. Kennedy Jr.‘s romance earned six Emmy nominations. See every winner of the evening here.)
