Adam Brody isn’t ready to for his kids to go right back where he started from.
In fact, the O.C. alum is letting his and wife Leighton Meester‘s 10-year-old daughter Arlo and a 5-year-old son, whose name has not been publicly revealed, decide for themselves if they want to watch the early aughts shows that launched their parents’ acting careers.
“No O.C., no Gossip Girl yet,” Brody exclusively told Justin Sylvester during Live From E!: 2026 Emmys on Sept. 14. “I’m gonna let them find their own way. And if they find their way to it, they can have it.” (Click here to see all the celebs on the red carpet.)
And that’s because the 46-year-old and Meester, 40, haven’t revisited the teen dramas in a while.
“We don’t watch it,” Brody told InStyle in 2024. “But we certainly talk about it. Not the characters—I mean, occasionally—but more about the experiences. We do have a lot in common. In some ways, almost nobody could understand it more than her and vice versa. And a lot of people involved were the same people, so there’s just a lot of overlap.”
