Who Are the Mothers of His 9 Kids

When Stevie Wonder starts calling his kids to say he loves them, he may be on the phone for a while.

Since welcoming daughter Aisha Morris with girlfriend Yolanda Simmons in 1975, the blessed event that inspired his track “Isn’t She Lovely,” the 76-year-old music legend has become a father of nine with at least five women.

“My children keep me very busy,” Wonder, born Stevland Hardaway Morris, told the U.K.’s Radio 2 in 2010 when his brood numbered only seven. “And before my life ends I hope to have many more. My goal is to have twins.”

You never know, but he did add more sunshine to his life when he and third wife Tomeeka Robyn Bracy had daughters Zaiah, 13, and Nyah, 11, together before tying the knot in 2017.

“I got, how many, 22 kids?” he quipped on The View in 2014, when Nyah was on the way.

But while his family tree is of the sprawling variety, Wonder—even if he couldn’t always be around—was determined to be more than a part-time father.
