RHONY’s Bethenny Frankel Debuts Romance With Shane L. Campbell 2 Years After Paul Bernon Breakup
Here’s the skinny on Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy five years after their contentious divorce.
The Real Housewives of New York City alum didn’t hold back while speaking about her ex-husband, revealing that the two are “not exactly” friendly these days.
“We do both exist on this earth, so that’s positive,” Frankel quipped, after Friends Keep Secrets podcast host Benny Blanco asked if the former couple still “coexist” during the Sept. 29 episode. “It’s been a strained year. It’s been a challenging year.”
In fact, the Skinnygirl founder—who finalized her divorce from Hoppy in 2021, nearly 10 years after their breakup—described her legal separation from the businessman as “torture” and “traumatic.”
“There were a lot of circumstances that have been too much,” Frankel continued, adding of their “not garden variety” divorce proceedings, “Ten years on a two-year marriage.”
Indeed, Frankel and Hoppy, both 55, spent years squabbling in court following their 2012 breakup. In 2021, a judge finally signed off on the split, awarding Frankel primary residential custody of their daughter Bryn, now 16, allowing her to stop child support payments to her ex.
