Though, admittedly, it’s not all that tough for them to show up as unwavering allies for their brood.
“You may have your biases and your preconceived notions, but it ain’t about you, it’s about them, and they live in a completely different world than you grew up in,” he explained of his stance. “We all know the right thing to do. We all know the right way to act with our kids.”
Outside of making the move from their O.C. digs up to Beverly Hills because the “rainbow shines brighter up here than it does in Orange County” and partnering with organizations like The Trevor Project and GLAAD, that support looks a lot like just being there.
“They don’t know anything but love and support and I’m glad that’s true,” Heather shared on a 2024 episode of RHOC. “Even though they know there’s lots of kids out there that don’t have what they have, I’m glad that they just feel normal.”
And while she and her husband would certainly love on their kids regardless, the two are acutely aware of the example they’re setting.
“The more accepting and supportive we are to them publicly, which is the way we are for sure,” Terry acknowledged, “hopefully that sends the message out.”
