“I need you to know that what you achieved was incredible,” Burgess insisted. “You didn’t let anyone down. It was a tough night. For whatever reason, they were tough on you. They’ve been tough on you. Last week, you should have got higher scores, too.”
Watching back their spooky performance, however, the 41-year-old emphasized to Cameron she was “insanely proud.”
But he wasn’t ready to dance around the moment in the ballroom’s skybox.
“I was extremely disappointed,” he explained. “I was heartbroken, and that was just real and raw. And this show’s a pressure cooker. And all I wanted to do was score well and crush it and move on to the next week because this has been the most incredible experience.”
