Newly-promoted Spartans will begin life in the top-flight against Partick Thistle, who have Gary Holt in charge after kicking off last summer under David Elliot.

The first SWPL Old Firm clash is scheduled for September 27 when Rangers welcome Celtic to Broadwood Stadium.

What about SWPL 2?

In the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League 2, last season’s runners-up Kilmarnock are away to Renfrew on the opening day after their promotion from the Scottish Women’s Championship.

Falkirk are also in the SWPL 2 following their win over East Fife in the play-off final and start the new campaign away to Dundee United.

Elsewhere, St Johnstone host Livingston, Hamilton are at Queen’s Park and Gartcairn take on Boroughmuir Thistle.
