Leeds Rhinos head coach Brad Arthur told BBC Radio Leeds:
“We’re disappointed, we didn’t put our best foot forward tonight. It was a big occasion for the club and not through effort, but we let ourselves down and we let the club down.
“It’s certainly not over, but we’ve got to dust ourselves down. We’ve got a big game next week and we need to regain some form.
On Lachlan Miller’s injury: “It’s not great. He’s obviously got to go and have scans, but I think he’s torn his hamstring. We’ll have to wait and see.
“It’s hard to replace a player of his quality, but then it’s hard to replace a full-back, they’re so integral to your defensive line, the organisation of that and how he returns the ball.
“We were a bit disjointed from it, but we’ve got to be a bit more resilient.”
Wigan Warriors head coach Matt Peet told BBC Radio Manchester:
“I was pleased with the performance. I knew we were coming up against a really good team – a great arena, the build-up, the crowd.
“We knew it was going to be a big occasion, so to get the job done, I’m pleased, I’m proud.
“Leeds get the basics of the game right and challenge you in so many ways, so concentration is a big one and then embracing the big occasion. These are the sorts of games you want to be involved in as players.
“We played well, Leeds will learn a lot. They were unfortunate with the injury at the start, they’ve got some players to come back, they’ll go away and come back better I’m sure, so we have to be prepared to keep improving as well.”
