Soccer Player Héctor Bello’s Wife Andrea Dies Saving Daughter During Venezuela Earthquakes
Lucas Trejo is facing an unimaginable loss.
The soccer player’s wife Yanina Maranella and their two children Aarón Trejo and Ainhoa Trejo were among the more than 1,400 people killed in the devastating twin earthquakes that rocked Venezuela June 24, his football club confirmed.
“In this moment of immense pain,” C.S. Marítimo de La Guaira—which Trejo joined in February—shared on Instagram June 28 in Spanish, “we raise our prayers for the eternal rest of their souls and for the strength of Lucas and his loved ones to face this tragedy.”
The football club also shared a message of support for the 38-year-old, who was in Caracas for a training camp with his teammates during the natural disaster.
“Lucas, you’re not alone,” the post continued. “Your family at Marítimo La Guaira is with you. We accompany you with all our hearts, with respect, unity and solidarity. From the club, your teammates, technical staff and directors: we send you a fraternal embrace.”
