Kimmy Fasani is a pioneer in women’s snowsport, winning countless awards and making snowboarding history in the process.
But she has also had to face many hardships – losing both of her parents to cancer, then being diagnosed with aggressive inflammatory breast cancer herself in 2020.
After numerous rounds of brutal treatment, the mother of two is cancer-free and has returned to competing and riding some of the most extreme terrain you’ll ever see.
Kimmy spoke to BBC Sport before the release of her documentary Blizzard Butterfly.
