Serena Williams is clearing the air about her appearance during Kendrick Lamar‘s 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
The 43-year-old tennis pro, who previously dated Drake, made a brief appearance dancing on stage during the event.
Considering his beef with Drake and her history with him, many thought that Serena was throwing shade. Drake even seemed to take aim at her on social media. However, she took to social media to deny those allegations.

She responded on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “That there my baby daddy and husband. Always got my back. I Love you 🥰 Gosh I’m so late to the game (I’ve been sick) & busy investing in billion dollar companies and running
@WYNbeauty… def not dancing to be petty lol.”
“I think I proved 23 times over (not counting 4 gold medals) that I simply don’t have time for petty. All love and respect always nothing negative here. 🤗,” Serena concluded.
