Cody Fern has found the stars of his directorial debut!
On Thursday (May 15), it was announced that Sarah Paulson and Toni Collette will be playing estranged sisters in the 36-year-old American Horror Story actor’s upcoming directorial debut feature Mother Courage.
Two-time Oscar winner Dianne Wiest will play their mother in the thriller while The Bikeriders actor Toby Wallace will also star.
Keep reading to find out more…Here’s the synopsis via Deadline: “Set against the backdrop of a Broadway production of Bertolt Brecht’s Mother Courage, the story follows Sandra Bloom (Paulson), a celebrated actress whose life begins to unravel as she struggles through rehearsals for her starring role. When her sister April (Collette) arrives following a 30-year long estrangement, the stage is set for a tense confrontation. As long buried secrets resurface, the sisters are forced to confront the fractures of their past… and what remains of their future. Wallace plays April’s son, Theo.”
Along with directing the movie, Cody also co-wrote the screenplay with Devon Bostick.
