Indeed, Banks never fully shut down that she and Roach were, in fact, at odds. As she demurred, “I don’t know if I should just let the lore live?”
For his part, Roach similarly avoided sharing his unfiltered thoughts on the supposed beef.
“I think Tyra is so beautiful,” he said during a Sept. 22 appearance on Outlaws with TS Madison. “I started reality TV because of Tyra. Tyra put me on America’s Next Top Model that was my first reality show.”
As he put it, “I will always respect her for that.”
When it comes to Project Runway though, Roach said he considers himself the one with the most expertise, save for Elle editor Nina García.
“To me, outside of Nina, I am the fashion expert,” he said. “If I’m talking about fashion and you’re not in the level of me in my mind to talk about fashion with me, then we’re going to go back and forth about it.”
And when TS Madison pushed back to consider whether Roach and Banks were, in fact, on the same level fashion-wise, the 48-year-old shrugged it off, adding, “Tyra is a model.”
