Craig Melvin, noo!
While the Today host’s interview with Parker Posey started off without a hitch, paradise turned into a nightmare when the White Lotus actress believed Melvin called her a wh–e.
“Before I let you get out of here, we’ve got to talk horror,” he said on the Oct. 26 episode. But as Posey leaned forward for clarification, he corrected himself: “No, horr-or!”
The Best in Show star did not hear horror the first go-around, admitting with a laugh, “I thought you called me a wh–e!”
Melvin made sure not to leave any more room for further miscommunication.
“I did not call you a wh–e! H-O-R-R-O-R,” he emphasized. “I did not enunciate well.”
As the daytime talk show host and Posey navigated that awkward encounter, the interview only devolved further when he asked about her involvement in the upcoming movie Sleepover.
“Scream 3, Blade and now you’re doing a new horror film,” he said. “Tell us about your new horror film.”
