NYC Celebs Watch Knicks Pull Off Biggest Comeback in NBA Finals History

It was a who’s who on the sidelines of Madison Square Garden as the New York Knicks fronted a miraculous comeback against the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

NYC staples like Spike Lee, Larry David, Adam Sandler, Jerry Seinfeld, David Zaslav, Timothée Chalamet, Mariska Hargitay, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, John McEnroe and Tracy Morgan were all in attendance on Wednesday night. Even global superstar Taylor Swift flew all the way from Tuesday night’s “Toy Story 5” premiere to watch MSG explode as the Knicks took a 3-1 lead over the Spurs.

The Knicks, down by 29 points, looked down and out heading into the fourth quarter. But with the support of the thundering MSG crowd, the Knicks managed to bring it within one with 1:47 to go. After back-to-back missed free throws from Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama, Knicks guard Jalen Brunson brought it down the other end and gave his team the first lead of the night with a clutch floater. Stephon Castle managed to give the Spurs a one-point lead after two free throws of his own, but the Knicks took it right back after a bucket from forward OG Anunoby with a little over a second to go. Spurs were unable to convert on their final possession, and the Knicks had done it. The final score was 106 to 107.

Wednesday’s game was the biggest comeback in NBA finals history, per “Inside the NBA.” The show’s hosts were flabbergasted in their post-game coverage. Analyst Ernie Johnson opened his commentary by asking his co-hosts, “What the hell did we just see?”

Charles Barkley was quick to fault the Spurs for allowing such an explosive Knicks’ comeback: “When you blow a 29-point lead, the other team has to help you.”
