Noah Kahan wishes he could have orbited around a bathroom during his 2026 Emmys performance.
After the “Stick Season” singer took the stage at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles Sept. 14 during the Emmys in memoriam tribute for celebrities such as Catherine O’Hara, James Van Der Beek, Eric Dane and Hayden Panettiere, he admitted his nerves nearly got the better of him.
“Honored to have sang tonight to the memory of so many legends,” Kahan wrote on X after his performance. “Also I almost pissed my pants cuz I was nervous.”
During the emotional tribute, Kahan joined Macaulay Culkin, Annie Murphy and Dan Levy in remembering the lives of some of Hollywood’s biggest stars by performing a cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge over Troubled Water.”
“I think it’s a perfect song to encapsulate the hope that comes with so many of the people that we lost this year,” Kahan exclusively told Keltie Knight during Live From E!: 2026 Emmys Sept. 14. “The bright lights we’ve lost: Dolly [Parton], Catherine [O’Hara], so many incredible artists.”
