And his team didn’t throw a flag on the play, even after new images surfaced April 23 of him and Dianna sitting together inside the Tribeca Tavern in March 2020, including one that showed him appearing to lean in for a kiss.
“Mike has been open with us about his commitment to being the best version of himself for his family, this team and our fans, and we respect the steps he is taking to follow through on that commitment,” the Patriots organization told E! News in an April 23 statement. “We are confident in the leadership and communication Mike has established with our personnel staff throughout this pre-draft process.”
His team was huddled around him as well.
“We’re here for Coach,” starting quarterback Drake Maye told 7News in an April 29 interview. “We love Coach. What he does for us and has done for us this past year, you can’t speak it into words. Thankfully, he’s our head coach.”
Continued the QB, “We know he’s dealing with some stuff off the field and out of the coaching world, but we’re here for him and I know he’s gonna come back.”
