Now, a warning. Take care of Meryl Streep’s time.
Otherwise, you might irk the Devil Wears Prada 2 star. The 76-year-old recently admitted that she had slight “beef” with her Death Becomes Her costar Goldie Hawn because of one frustrating habit.
“Goldie, she was always late to set,” Meryl said in a Vanity Fair interview published on April 30. “But she was so adorable. And I’m always on time, you know, and annoying. But she’s late, and she had a red convertible, I remember. And she’d drive herself to set, so that was probably the problem.”
Luckily, they never quite came to blows like their characters Madeline Ashton and Helen Sharp, with Meryl sharing, “I had a beef with her, but I loved her.”
Despite the 80-year-old’s tendency for tardiness, the two have maintained a close friendship since the film premiered in 1992. In fact, the Mamma Mia! actress emphasized, “She’s one of my buddies, and over the years, we’ve had some laughs about that movie because people love it. I thought it was like a documentary on Beverly Hills.”
