Matt Damon is his family’s muse.
The Odyssey actor detailed how his stepdaughter Alexia Barroso, 27, also fell in love with filmmaking and is now working as a cinematographer.
“She’s done about 12 movies,” Matt told E! News during an exclusive interview. “[She’s] worked on the camera team all over the world.”
In fact, Alexia—the daughter of Matt’s wife Luciana Barroso Damon and her ex-husband Arbello Barroso—has even worked in the camera department on a few of his films, including 2021’s The Last Duel and 2024’s The Instigators.
As for whether Matt and Luciana’s other daughters Isabella Damon, 20, Gia Damon, 17, and Stella Damon, 15, are planning to pursue the family business?
“The other three might,” the Good Will Hunting screenwriter continued. “I have one who’s at NYU now, who’s a fantastic writer, so I could see her following me into screenwriting. And we have two still in high school, so we’ll see.”
Regardless, Matt always keeps his daughters close in spirit. After all, his portrayal in The Odyssey—which costars Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya and Lupita Nyong’o—was influenced by missing his girls while on set.
