Martha Stewart is sharing her thoughts on a biopic possibly being cooked up.
On the same day it was reported that Cate Blanchett is set to play her in a biopic, the lifestyle guru seemed to confirm the Oscar winner’s casting while teasing she’d been “hearing rumors” about the movie.
“I think there’s something in the works right now with Cate Blanchett,” she told Variety on the red carpet of the New York screening of Brunello: The Gracious Visionary on April 14, before sharing that the biopic already has a working title, “called Good Thing.”
As for the significance of the title, it is, of course, a call back to her signature catchphrase, “It’s a good thing.”
Earlier that day, Variety reported the movie was in the works with Zola director Janicza Bravo.
Although a big screen look at Martha’s life may soon be on the way, the Martha Stewart Living founder has long been an open book. In fact, she didn’t shy away from detailing her rise to fame through her lifestyle empire and talk show in her 2024 documentary Martha.
