Famous friends are leaning on each other during the devastating fires in Los Angeles.
It has been revealed that Mandy Moore, her husband Taylor Goldsmith, and their three children – Gus, 3, Oscar, 2, and Lou, 3 months – are staying with Hilary Duff and husband Matthew Koma after they were forced to evacuate due to the fires.
Keep reading to find out more…Taylor’s brother, Griffin Goldsmith, shared the news on Instagram while also revealing that Hilary and Matt set up the GoFundMe for himself and pregnant wife Kit after they lost their house in the fires.
“All of this so overwhelming. But what is as equally overwhelming is the amount of love and generosity we are on the receiving end of,” Griffin wrote in part. “Our dear friends @matthewkoma and @hilaryduff thought it wise to set up a gofundme for us to help with everything moving forward. Not to mention they are currently housing my brother’s family. They’ve taken care of my entire family from the moment this began. I will never be able to thank them adequately. This is the kindest act any human could do for another. They are the most beautiful, selfless people we’ve ever known.”
Hilary and Matt share three daughters – Banks, 6, Mae, 3, and Townes, 20 months – while Hilary is also mom to 12-year-old son Luca, whom she shares with ex-husband Mike Comrie.
If you didn’t know, Hilary and Mandy have been friends for years and are actually part of the same mom group, which includes quite a few other famous faces.
Last week, Mandy and her her family were forced to evacuate their home in Altadena due to the Eaton Fires, which luckily spared the “main part” of their house, but destroyed their garage, back house, and music studio. Mandy said that their house is currently not “livable.”
Many other stars have also sadly lost their homes due to the fires. Our continued thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy.
