This is not the first time Prewett—mom to daughter Hosanna, 17 months, with Troutt—has detailed her role as a “submissive wife.” In December, she shared why she valued the dynamic.
“Being a submissive wife, it was a challenge for me at first,” Prewett said in an episode of her Stay True podcast at the time, “but now it’s my favorite thing, I love talking about submission.”
The reality TV star—who previously starred on “Pilot” Pete Weber’s season of The Bachelor and briefly dated him afterward—noted, “As a wife, I’m called to submit, I’m called to respect, I’m called to honor.”
After facing backlash for her comments at the time, she clarified that to her, submission does not mean “oppression.”
“That is in no way of how I meant it of what the Bible is saying nor in how we live,” Prewett said in a subsequent podcast episode. “Our marriage dynamic is not like that in any way.”
