Leeds United have signed defender Tarik Muharemovic for £34.1m from Serie A side Sassuolo.
The 23-year-old Bosnia-Herzegovina international has signed a five-year deal at Elland Road.
He is a replacement for Pascal Struijk, who joined Brighton for £20m in June, and is Leeds’ second signing of the summer after Harry Wilson’s free transfer from Fulham.
Muharemovic played at this summer’s World Cup for his country and was involved in the challenge that saw USA forward Folarin Balogun infamously sent off.
The centre-back was sent off himself against Switzerland.
