Lauren Bennett, “Party Rock Anthem” Singer, Dead at 37


G.R.L. is mourning one of its own.

Lauren Bennett, also known for her appearance on LMFAO‘s “Party Rock Anthem,” has died, the former girl group shared on July 6. She was 37.

“It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren,” G.R.L. wrote on Instagram. “Our hearts are broken and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us. We will forever cherish the love, laughter and countless memories she gave us.”

“Her beautiful spirit touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved,” the statement concluded. “Rest peacefully, sweet Lauren. You will always be in our hearts.”

No further details about Bennett’s passing were shared in the message, which was signed by her former bandmates Natasha Slayton, Paula van Oppen and Emmalyn Estrada.

Bennett began her music career in Paradiso Girls, formed by Pussycat DollsRobin Antin, in 2007 after being selected as one of seven women from more than 500 auditionees. Their biggest track was their 2009 debut single “Patron” featuring Lil Jon and Eve.
