La Toya Health Update at Michael Jackson Movie Premiere

How is La Toya Jackson feeling? You can’t beat it.

After Michael Jackson’s older sister shared glimpses into several hospital visits late last year, she confirmed she is through the thick of her health concerns.

“I’m feeling good,” La Toya told E! News’ Will Marfuggi in an exclusive interview at the Los Angeles premiere of the Michael biopic. “I’m feeling strong and feeling happy.”

Of course, one of the reasons the 69-year-old was feeling so good is because she was about to see her late brother’s early career play out on the big screen—and be brought to life by another loved one. Michael stars Jaafar Jackson, the son of Jermaine Jackson, as the titular pop star and explores the late “Billie Jean” singer’s meteoric rise to fame after going solo following the success of The Jackson 5

The film also explores Michael’s time in his family band, which also featured his brothers Jackie Jackson, 74, Jermaine, 71, Marlon Jackson, 69, and Tito Jackson, who died in 2024 at age 70.

“It’s a wonderful feeling,” La Toya continued. “It’s absolutely fabulous to see the outcome and to see Jafaar.”
