She accused Jenner, 28, of being aware that she was pregnant, had suffered a miscarriage, required medical leave and intended to return to work after.
“Despite such knowledge,” the filing read, “Defendants failed to provide’ the former employee ‘adequate support, accommodation, protection from harassment, or meaningful assistance” following her “pregnancy complications, miscarriage, and return from leave.”
The former employee is requesting an unspecified amount of damages, back pay, lost wages, lost earnings, lost employment benefits, attorneys’ costs and fees, as well as a jury trial.
The employee’s attorney Della Shaker addressed the lawsuit in a statement to USA Today, writing, “For our client, this case is about finding justice after one of the most painful chapters of her life. She looks forward to having the truth come to light through the judicial process.”
