From Huntr/x’s high-gloss stage costumes to the Saja Boys’ demonic transformations, nearly every frame of “KPop Demon Hunters” is packed with details worth pausing over. Now, fans can get a closer look at how the Netflix phenomenon’s candy-colored world came together in “The Art of KPop Demon Hunters: Platinum Edition,” a new deluxe hardcover arriving Sept. 8.
Written by Tracey Miller-Zarneke, the 144-page book collects more than 500 pieces of concept art, early character studies, works in progress and final designs from the animated film. Commentary digs into the wide-ranging references behind the film’s creative choices, including Korean mythology and shamanism, real-life K-pop idol groups, manhwa and anime.
Plus, the oversized tome features holographic foil page edges designed to evoke the Honmoon, the supernatural barrier that Huntr/x protects throughout the film.

Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, “KPop Demon Hunters” follows Rumi, Mira and Zoey, the members of chart-topping girl group Huntr/x, who spend their time away from the stage secretly protecting humanity from demons. Their latest threat arrives in the form of the Saja Boys, a rival boy band whose members are considerably more demonic than the average industry plant.
Since premiering on Netflix in June 2025, the film has grown into one of the streamer’s most successful franchises. It became Netflix’s most-watched film of all time and later won Academy Awards for both animated feature and original song. Netflix has since officially put a sequel into development, with Kang and Appelhans returning to direct.
The art book arrives as Netflix continues expanding the animated hit beyond streaming. The growing lineup already includes dolls, apparel, footwear, comics and collectibles, along with an official screen-comic boxed set scheduled for November.
