Kim Kardashian is sharing her side of the story.
After a recap of her recent lake vacation was uploaded to Instagram around the same time that her mom Kris Jenner announced the death of her own mom Mary Jo “MJ” Shannon, the SKIMS founder explained the unfortunate mishap.
“This post was scheduled a few days ago before we lost MJ,” Kim wrote in the comments after being called out for sharing the “lake life” highlights during a family tragedy, “so its timing came right alongside her passing.”
Meanwhile, the 45-year-old—who spent time at the lake alongside Khloe Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and her kids Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7—shared that she was actually supporting her family during their difficult week.
“I’ve been by my mom and grandma’s side this past week, and my heart is completely with my family right now,” she continued. “We love and miss her so deeply, and in the days ahead, we’ll be focusing on celebrating her beautiful life.”
