Sacred Heart Hospital is undergoing a few staffing changes.
Indeed, Joel Kim Booster and X Mayo—who played Dr. Kevin Park and Nurse Pippa Raymond respectively in season one of the Scrubs revival—will not be returning to the ABC series for a second season, according to multiple outlets.
“So honored to have been a part of this,” Booster wrote on Instagram Stories July 20 over a news headline announcing his exit, “but it’s time to focus on being a different doctor now…”
And while the cast shakeup may surprise fans, the series’ OG trio isn’t going anywhere. Indeed, Zach Braff (John “J.D.” Dorian), Donald Faison (Christopher “Turk” Turk) and Sarah Chalke (Elliot Reid) are all among those scrubbing in next season.
Plus, others are set to scrub in for some overtime.
Ava Bunn—who starred as wide-eyed intern Sam Tosh in the first revival season—has been upped to series regular in the show’s upcoming installment, which is scheduled to premiere this fall.
As for the rest of the actors rounding out next season’s intern class?
