Ivor Pandur: Rangers sign Croatia goalkeeper from Hull City with Jack Butland close to joining Tigers | Football News

Rangers have signed goalkeeper Ivor Pandur from Hull City in a £6m deal.

The 26-year-old – who is currently at the World Cup with Croatia – has signed a four-year deal with the Ibrox club.

Pandur moved to Hull City in 2024 and played in all but one Championship game last season, plus kept clean sheets in both play-off semi-finals and the final as Premier League promotion was secured.

On signing for Rangers, Pandur said: “I am honoured and privileged to sign for such a big club with so much history. This club knows how to win and that’s exactly why I am joining Rangers.

“I can’t wait to hear the noise of Ibrox for the first time and I hope we will be successful together.”

Manager Derek McInnes added: “We are delighted to bring Ivor to Rangers. He is a goalkeeper with excellent presence and a strong character.

“He has shown his quality, he is at a good stage of his career, and we believe he can be a commanding figure for the club.

“I am looking forward to welcoming Ivor into the team when he returns from the World Cup.”

Butland nears Tigers move

Meanwhile, Jack Butland is close to sealing his £3m switch in the opposite direction.

Butland moved to Glasgow in 2023 and has made over 150 appearances for Rangers, having previously been at several English clubs including Birmingham, Stoke and Crystal Palace.

And while Butland’s move is not yet official, he has posted this on Instagram, saying goodbye to Rangers:

“Three years ago I made a decision to join this great football club, with no hesitation and I’m so glad that I did. While it’s been a rollercoaster, I’ve always tried to represent the club in the best way I can, both on and off the pitch and I leave with great pride knowing that I truly gave the fans, the club and my team-mates my all.

“To the fans that followed us everywhere, you are what makes this club so great. We created memories and atmospheres all over Europe and the sound of Ibrox in full voice will stay with me forever.

“This is only goodbye for now. You’ve created a family of lifelong Rangers fans, once a Ranger, always a Ranger, me and my family will always be that.”

Gers not moving for Graham

Sky Sports News understands Rangers are not pursuing a deal for Dundee defender Luke Graham.

While the 22-year-old impressed at Dens Park last season, Ibrox chiefs are not planning a move for the player during this window.
