The Critics Choice Awards has set the date for its 32nd annual ceremony for Sunday, Jan. 3, 2027, and has secured a two-year renewal agreement with Versant, extending the broadcast partnership through 2028.
The ceremony will return to the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica for the third consecutive year and air live coast-to-coast on E! and on USA Network. The CCA Awards will maintain its combined film and television format, honoring achievements across cinematic releases, television and streaming programming.
“We are thrilled that the Critics Choice Awards will once again be kicking off awards season right at the start of the New Year,” said CCA CEO Joey Berlin. “Following our last show that saw ratings double, we are excited to keep that momentum going by partnering with the incredible E! and USA Network team through 2028.”
“What a way to start a new year! Our relationship with the Critics Choice Awards continues as we usher in awards season on E! and USA Network,” Val Boreland, president of entertainment at Versant, said in a statement. “We’re proud to bring this iconic event to viewers and celebrate the year’s standout moments in entertainment.”
Nominations for the 32nd annual ceremony will be announced on Friday, Dec. 4, 2026.
The Critics Choice Awards are presented annually to honor the finest in cinematic and television achievement and have historically served as a strong predictor of Academy Award nominations. Last year, the organization awarded Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” its top prizes for best picture and director, and two of its four acting selections went on to win the Oscar: Jessie Buckley for “Hamnet” (best actress) and Amy Madigan (supporting actress).
The telecast will again be executive produced by Bob Bain Productions and Berlin Entertainment, with the awards represented by Dan Black at Greenberg Traurig LLP.
