Chiefs’ Eric Bieniemy’s Wife Mia Bieniemy Allegedly Shot By Son

Eric Bieniemy’s family is facing an unimaginable tragedy.

The Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator’s wife Mia Bieniemy was hospitalized after their son Elijah Zion Bieniemy allegedly shot her in their Ashburn, Virginia, home on July 26, E! News can confirm.

“At approximately 7:32 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a shooting,” the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said in a July 26 statement without naming Mia. “Deputies located one adult female suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries.”

The couple’s 27-year-old son was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding, Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony and Discharge of a Firearm Inside of a Dwelling.

Elijah was transported to Loudoun County Adult Detention Center where he is being held without bond, according to jail records obtained by E! News.

“The investigation is ongoing,” the statement continued, “and there is not believed to be any threat to the public.”

E! News has reached out to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office as well as a public defender representing Elijah for comment but has not yet heard back.
