Chase Stokes shared the rule that he and Kelsea Ballerini implemented to keep their relationship strong with their busy schedules.
The 32-year-old actor is currently promoting his new movie Marked Men: Rule + Shaw, and his 31-year-old country music star girlfriend just kicked off a concert that will keep her on the road.
How do they stay in touch and keep the spark strong when work keeps them apart? Chase revealed their secret while on SiriusXM Hits 1 The Morning Mash Up.

“I mean, we [are] very fortunate to be in a place to be able to get to each other no matter what it takes. So, you know, like for example, we were both in Nashville. She left to go start this tour. I’ve been on the road, so I’ll go from here and I’ll go find her on the road and go run around with her for a little bit and then get back on the road on my own time,” he said. “So yeah, we try not to do anything more than like two and a half weeks. That’s sort of like the deadline.”
Chase continued, saying that he “would prefer zero” weeks apart.
“But that’s just, you know, kind of the nature of the beast in this industry and what it does,” he explained.
If you were unaware, the couple’s relationship started after Kelsea reached out to Chase on social media.
Has that ever happened to him with another woman before?
“Um, you know, I’m not big on social media. Like, I don’t really like sleuth in my DMs and looked for that,” he said. “So I saw she followed me and I was like, ‘Oh, hello.’ And so I looked and then I saw that she DM me and I was like, ‘All right, I’m gonna respond to this.’”
He continued, adding, “So it was kind of like this weird serendipitous thing on how it happened, but I don’t, I couldn’t tell you who I’ve gotten DMs from or what’s going on in there. That just feels like a black hole of really unhealthy, unhealthy stuff.”
