A movie adaptation of DreadXP’s indie video game “Amanda the Adventurer” is in the works at Blumhouse.
The project will be spearheaded by Matthew “MatPat” Patrick, the former-host of the “Theory” channels on YouTube, and was revealed by Patrick and Jason Blum on stage at the Blumfest panel at New York Comic Con on Friday.
Patrick was the moderator for the Blumfest panel and Blum opened the show by revealing Blumhouse has struck a multi-project deal with Patrick, beginning with the “Amanda the Adventurer” movie. The duo said they are currently in talks with potential writers and directors for the film and more details will be revealed soon.
Along with MatPat and Blum, the “Amanda the Adventurer” adaptation will also be produced by Epic Pictures CEO Patrick Ewald.
MatPat is represented by Dan Levitt, The.Team.
