The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is bringing exclusive Oscar night viewing parties to New York, Los Angeles and London, which are open to Academy members and invited film industry guests.
The New York event will be held at the Mandarin Oriental, kicking off the evening with a cocktail reception and crafted menu. The London event will take place at The Dorchester, including a curated menu inspired by the Oscars Governors Ball.
The annual public viewing party in Los Angeles is also returning, presented by Sony Honda Mobility. Attendees at the event will get to enjoy photo opportunities, an official gift bag from the watch party, a selection of hors d’oeuvres from Wolfgang Puck Catering and wine from Clarendelle & Domaine Clarence Dillon.
This year, some of the biggest Oscar contenders include Sean Baker’s independent film “Anora,” Edward Berger’s pope drama “Conclave” and Brady Corbet’s historical drama “The Brutalist.” “Anora” took home top prizes at the Producers Guild Awards, Directors Guild Awards and Critics Choice Awards, “Conclave” won BAFTA awards for best picture, best adapted screenplay, best editing and best british film while “The Brutalist” took home the Golden Globe for best drama. “Emilia Pérez” won in the best musical or comedy category.
The 97th annual Oscars will be held Sunday, March 2 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The show will be televised live on ABC and streamed live on Hulu, airing in more than 200 territories around the world.
