‘American Horror Story’ Season 13 Sets Release Date in September

“American Horror Story” Season 13 will premiere on FX and Hulu on Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. PT.

The star-studded installment will see the return of Jessica Lange (her first “AHS” season since 2018’s “Apocalypse”) and Sarah Paulson, reprising her role as Cordelia Goode, Supreme of the Coven. The all-star season also features Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe and Leslie Grossman.

Fans have speculated that a reunion of so many past stars could signal that the show will revisit the story of Season 3, 2013’s “Coven.” (Paulson has previously talked about wanting to play Cordelia again, saying, in 2017, “We only got to see her just getting her powers. I just would like to know if the power might have been something that kind of changed her. Maybe we’ll get to see that.”)

Season 13 will also introduce new cast members to the “AHS” franchise, including Ariana Grande, John Waters, Paul Anthony Kelly, Joey Pollari and Alex Consani.

Ahead of its release date, the show will make a scary splash at San Diego Comic-Con in July, with a “13 Flavors” activation. Four “AHS”-themed ice cream trucks will serve fans at the convention with flavors themed around past seasons. On Saturday evening, fans will be invited to a secret location to experience the 13th scoop, which may offer a hint about the forthcoming installment.

“American Horror Story” is created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, who executive produce alongside Ned Martel, Charlie Carver, Eric Kovtun, Nissa Diederich, Scott Robertson, Tanase Popa, Crystle Roberson Dorsey, Jennifer Salt and Tim Minear. The series is produced by 20th Television.
