Mandy Moore is sharing her journey with in vitro fertilization (IVF).
The A Walk to Remember actress—who shares kids August, 5, Oscar, 3, and Louise, 21 months, with husband Taylor Goldsmith—detailed her experience with the fertility treatment before welcoming her third baby.
“So, I did a round of IVF, and it was unsuccessful. We didn’t get any viable eggs, no embryos,” Mandy said on the June 3 episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. “So, I was like okay, well this just settles that. If this is something that is meant to be, it will happen naturally.”
“I had the extreme privilege of being able to get pregnant and carry both of my boys,” she added, “and I thought, ‘I’m getting older and I would love to maybe have a tiny bit more space potentially between [my kids] if we are gonna have a third.’”
But no matter what happened, she was more than happy with her family of four.
“I am so grateful and so happy with these two guys,” Mandy recalled. “And our family will be complete if that’s the way it’s supposed to unfold.”
