Olympians to Attend ‘Broken Hearts Club’ 25th Anniversary Screening

Greg Berlanti’s “The Broken Hearts Club” will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a screening and conversation with cast members in West Hollywood on April 25.

I can exclusively report that Olympians Adam Rippon, Conor McDermott-Mostowy, Robbie Rogers, Johnny Weir, Randy Gardner, Tai Babilonia, Kent Ferguson, Brittany Bowe, Conor McDermott-Mostowy and Jake Adicoff will be among the guests at the starry event.

In partnership with Street Food Cinema, the evening will take place at West Hollywood Park and benefit Pride House LA/West Hollywood and Team OutAF.

The post-screening discussion will include Billy Porter, Zach Braff, Berlanti and producer Mickey Liddell and will be moderated be Jess Cagle.

“The Broken Hearts Club” follows a group of friends in West Hollywood navigating romance and friendships. The ensemble also included Timothy Olyphant, Justin Theroux, Jennifer Coolidge, Dean Cain. Andrew Keegan, Nia Long and the late John Mahoney.

“We are honored that Street Food Cinema has chosen to screen ‘The Broken Hearts Club,’ and beyond thrilled that the screening will benefit PH LA/WeHo and the Out Athlete Fund,” said Berlanti and Liddell. “At its heart, this film is about friendship and found family within the LGBTQIA+ community and finding love and support during both challenging and celebratory times. This ragtag group of friends may not be the most skilled at softball, but they are pros at showing up for each other and the game, much like PH LA/WeHo and the OutAF fund show up for the community. We cannot wait to revisit the film with everyone and look forward to supporting these organizations that champion inclusion and LGBTQIA+ excellence in sports.”

Tickets are available at pridehouselaweho.org.
