After more than five years between releases, Apple has finally upgraded its premium over-ear noise-canceling headphones with the highly-anticipated AirPods Max 2.
With prices starting at $529 on Amazon, the new headphones promises improved noise-canceling settings, advanced sound quality and new features — compared to the original version, which were released in Dec. 2020.
The biggest difference between the original AirPods Max and AirPods Max 2 is latest version has the H2 processor, which provides improved noise-reduction and upgraded noise-canceling for more immersive listening experiences.
Meanwhile, the wireless headphones newest features are Adaptive Audio for automatic switching between transparent listening to full noise-canceling depending on your environment. They also have Live Translation settings that allows you to translate conversations in foreign languages in real-time — such as French, German, Portuguese, Spanish and, of course, English.

Aside from upgraded specs, new features and up to 20 hours of battery life per charge, the AirPods Max 2 have the same look and design as the previous version. However, the new headphones have USB-C built-in for charging and wired lossless audio instead of Lightning, which was included in the original 2020 edition. They even come with the same Apple Smart Case for storage.

Starting on Wednesday, Apr. 1, Apple AirPods Max 2 premium noise-canceling headphones are available on Amazon. They’re priced starting at $529, while they come in five colors, including starlight, blue, midnight, orange and purple.
