Sarah Paulson is sending love to pal Amanda Peet amid a difficult life chapter.
After The Nine Whole Yards actress detailed a breast cancer diagnosis in a candid essay for The New Yorker, the American Horror Story actress shared the awe she feels for her longtime friend.
“My best friend, Amanda Peet—the weirdest thing in the world is to say her full name out loud, as I call her Bird—but that’s the name her parents gave her,” Sarah wrote in a March 22 Instagram post. “Seems fitting to use here as she has written the most profoundly gorgeous essay about the loss of her parents, while dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis.”
Despite the difficult subject matter, Sarah focused on her friend’s accomplishment in penning the essay itself, writing she was “screaming from the rooftops with joy” over it.
“I hope you all take the time to read it,” she continued. “If you are running around and doing other stuff, I did the audio recording and you can listen to me try to do the piece justice.”
As Sarah—who emphasized she loved her friend “beyond”—put it, “My friend is a @newyorkermag essayist. How outrageously groovy is that?”
