The Pussycat Dolls have announced their reunion as a trio featuring Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts, armed with a new single “Club Song” and a global tour set for the United States, Europe and the U.K.
“Club Song” marks the group’s first single since 2020’s “React.” The track, which was released early Thursday morning, is produced by Mike Sabath, who co-wrote with Scherzinger, Caroline Ailin and Solly. In addition to the new single, the Pussycat Dolls will reissue their albums “PCD” and “Doll Domination” on May 8. The former will be released on vinyl and digital with new and unreleased tracks, while the latter will be available for the first time on 2LP black vinyl.
To commemorate the reunion, the group is staging the 53-date “PCD Forever” tour featuring Lil’ Kim and Mya on select shows. The first leg of the tour begins on June 5 at Palm Desert, CA’s Acrisure Arena, before heading to West Hollywood for the Outloud Music Festival the next day. The trio will make stops in Phoenix, Tampa and New York City’s Madison Square Garden before concluding the U.S. portion at Dallas, TX’s Dos Equis Pavilion on August 1. Then, they’ll head to Copenhagen on September 9 and tour through Europe and the U.K. before wrapping the tour at London’s O2 on October 13.
North American tour tickets will be available on pre-sale starting on March 18 at 10 a.m. local time. General onsale begins March 20 at 10 a.m. local time. Fans have been suspecting that a Pussycat Dolls reunion was imminent as early as December, when rumors circulated on social media that the group had signed with CAA. A spokesperson for CAA told Variety at the time that the agency did not represent them, as they were not together, but did count Scherzinger as a client. Last month, reports suggested that the Pussycat Dolls would in fact join back together as a trio with Scherzinger, Wyatt and Roberts.
In the days leading up to the announcement, the Pussycat Dolls teased the comeback by rolling out an updated logo stating “PCD Forever” on social accounts and their official website. Instagram accounts for Live Nation venues in Norway, Denmark, Amsterdam and Leeds posted the message in pink text, “We guarantee our next concert announcement will Stickwitu!!,” a reference to the group’s 2005 hit and a suggestion that a tour will follow.
The Pussycat Dolls reboot follows a successful few years for Scherzinger, who conquered Broadway by playing Norma Desmond in “Sunset Boulevard.” She starred as Desmond in the 2023 revival on the West End before transferring to Broadway in 2024. Last year, she received the Tony for best actress in a musical.
This isn’t the first time that the Pussycat Dolls have reunited. The group announced its revival in November 2019 and confirmed they had been recording new music with plans to tour the following year. In January 2020, they were featured on a new Meghan Trainor song before releasing their comeback single “React” a week later. But after the COVID-19 pandemic began, the tour was delayed until Scherzinger announced its cancellation in January 2022 on social media. Soon after, members Jessica Sutta and Carmit Bachar said they found out about the cancellation from Scherzinger’s post and were “disappointed” with how it was handled.
The Pussycat Dolls were initially formed in Los Angeles back in 1995 by choreographer Robin Antin, who started the group as a burlesque act. Antin signed a deal with Interscope Records in 2003 to develop the collective into a bona fide music act. The group released its debut album “PCD” in 2005, spawning a string of hits including “Don’t Cha,” “Buttons” and “Stickwitu.” They followed in 2008 with “Doll Domination” featuring the singles “When I Grow Up” and “I Hate This Part,” and embarked on a global tour the following year. Pussycat Dolls subsequently disbanded after several members announced they were leaving.
