The Season 2 finale of “Paradise” reached 4.3 million viewers in its first three days of streaming on Hulu and Disney+.
That total marks a 35% increase in viewership compared to the season premiere, which was released on Feb. 23, and marks the biggest audience “Paradise” has achieved with a single episode this season. According to Disney, viewership has grown each week since the premiere. The series has also held steady on Nielsen’s weekly list of the top 10 most-watched streaming original series in the U.S.
When combining viewership of Seasons 1 and 2, “Paradise” has been watched for more than 13 billion minutes to date, per Disney.
Per the official description, Season 2 of Paradise follows Xavier (Sterling K. Brown) as he “searches for Teri (Enuka Okuma) out in the world and learns how people survived the three years since The Day. Back in Paradise, the social fabric frays as the bunker deals with the aftermath of Season 1, and new secrets are uncovered about the city’s origins.” The cast also includes Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Krys Marshall, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV and Charlie Evans, with recurring guest stars James Marsden, Shailene Woodley, Thomas Doherty and Jon Beavers.
“Paradise” was created by Dan Fogelman, who executive produces the series alongside Jess Rosenthal, John Hoberg, Brown, Steve Beers, Glenn Ficarra and John Requa. 20th Television is the studio.
Season 2 was named a Variety critic’s pick, with Aramide Tinubu’s review praising the season for being “riveting and emotional” as it “highlights the rage, grief and psychological turmoil of trying to survive, and to trust, in a terrifyingly unstable environment.”
