Miley Cyrus had the best protector in both of her worlds.
The Hannah Montana alum detailed how her dad Billy Ray Cyrus kept her safe during her child star years, especially when she worked on the iconic Disney show.
“My dad was on set every single day, so there was nothing that could happen that he wouldn’t know about,” Miley, 33, told Variety in an interview published March 18. “There was never a time where I was going to be alone in that dressing room.”
But that wasn’t the only time the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer, 64—also dad to kids Brandi, 38, Trace, 37, Braison, 31 and Noah, 26, with ex-wife Tish Cyrus—showed off his fatherly instincts. In fact, Miley also applauded her parents for not pushing her “to be famous” in order to keep the family afloat.
“What happens to a lot of these kids is their parents want it more than they do, or the kids become responsible for the entire income of the family,” the Plastic Hearts star explained. “That was never my job. Every penny I ever made went into my bank account because my parents were good.”
