Kylie Jenner is ready for her Hollywood moment.
The 28-year-old entrepreneur and reality TV star made her feature film debut earlier this year in Charli xcx’s “Brat” mockumentary and has been on the arm of boyfriend Timothée Chalamet at nearly every major awards show as he campaigns for “Marty Supreme.” But Jenner has even bigger big-screen ambitions, she revealed in a new Vanity Fair cover story.
“I’ve actually gotten a few scripts, nothing that I feel is right yet, but I 100% want to do more,” she told Vanity Fair’s Nate Freeman. “I really like comedy. I think I’m good at it.” She added: “Maybe next time I talk to you, I’ll be the lead of an action movie!”
Jenner said her highly-praised scene in “The Moment,” in which a fictionalized version of herself runs into a fictionalized version of Charli xcx at a spa in Ibiza, was actually her idea that she presented to director Aidan Zamiri — a frequent Chalamet collaborator — “as a joke.”
“I was like, ‘Well, if you want me to be in it, I would love to.’ I felt like it was a comfortable avenue for me because I knew him, I know Charli, and I felt like for my first thing, this would be the perfect fit,” Jenner said. “They came back, and Charli was really excited, and they legitimately wrote me into the script, and I was like, Oh shit. Now I have to do it.”
Jenner and Chalamet have mostly kept their relationship private, but the actor has praised his girlfriend (without naming her directly) in various speeches as he’s picked up best actor wins this season. At the Critics Choice Awards, Chalamet thanked his “partner of three years,” saying: “Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.” From her seat, Jenner mouthed back, “I love you.”
Though Jenner kept typically quiet about her relationship with Chalamet in the story, when Vanity Fair’s Freeman asked if it’s fun to be shouted out onstage, Jenner eventually replied: “Of course.”
