Hamnet’s Jessie Buckley made history as the first Irish actress to win Best Actress in a Leading Role, while Weapons’ Amy Madigan broke the record for longest gap between her first nomination—Twice in a Lifetime in 1986—and first win this year for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.
In a historic first, Sinners’ Autumn Durald Arkapaw became the first woman and Black cinematographer to win the award for Best Cinematography.
Meanwhile, KPop Demon Hunter’s “Golden” was officially the first Kpop song to win Best Original Song and Sentimental Value marked Norway’s first win in the Best International Film category.
