Jeff Ross is mourning his friend Alex Duong.
The comedian honored his Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle costar on social media following Alex’s death March 28 at the age of 42 after a yearlong battle with a rare form of cancer.
“BIG loss for our @roastbattle @thecomedystore family,” Jeff wrote on his Instagram Story March 29. “We love you @dapperduong.”
The 60-year-old also tagged Alex’s wife Christina Duong—who shared daughter Everest, 5, with Alex—adding a heart emoji and linking out to a GoFundMe that had previously been set up to help pay for his medical expenses.
Along with his tribute, Jeff included a photo of himself smiling with Alex, Christina and Everest.
Alex had been diagnosed with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma—a rare and aggressive form of cancer that affects soft tissue—in 2025, according to a Los Angeles Times profile published in April, which eventually led him to lose vision in his left eye.
The late Blue Bloods alum’s friend Hilarie Steele first confirmed his passing in a post on the crowdsourcing platform.
