HENDERSON, Nev. — Less than 24 hours after the Las Vegas Raiders agreed to trade Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens, the All-Pro edge rusher said he has “zero ill will” toward the organization and hopes to retire as a Raider when the time comes.
“I felt like I left everything I had on the table for this team,” Crosby said in a 13-minute video, which he published on his social media accounts. “I’ve given my heart and soul. I feel like I let y’all down. Ever since Day 1, I wanted to create and build a winner with the Raiders.”
On Friday, Crosby’s time with the Raiders came to an end after seven seasons and 110 games played when Las Vegas sent him to Baltimore in exchange for the 14th pick in April’s draft and a first-round pick in 2027, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The deal will not be made official until the start of the new league year on Wednesday.
Crosby said the moments leading up to this decision were a “whirlwind.”
“Never thought I would be in this position. I never thought I would be going anywhere else, truly. … I didn’t plan on things to be like this, but things happen for a reason,” Crosby said.
Crosby said Raiders general manager John Spytek was “awesome” throughout the process.

He also thanked owner Mark Davis, minority owner Tom Brady and the rest of the Raiders’ ownership group.
“I want [the Raiders] to have all the success in the world,” Crosby said. “… My intentions were pure from the beginning. I know a lot of people have had questions and concerns, especially the past couple of weeks and months. I’ve decided to be quiet because there’s so much noise and ultimately, I’m a football player.
“… I’ve learned from my mistakes in the past of being too involved.”
Crosby said he bleeds Silver and Black, adding that he’s a “Raider for life.”
Crosby didn’t want to make any big predictions on how his time with Baltimore will play out. But he’s looking forward to helping the Ravens achieve their Super Bowl aspirations.
Crosby said he has already spoken with Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta and head coach Jesse Minter.
“I know there’s no guarantees in this,” Crosby said. But I’m going to give everything in my heart and soul to bring a championship to Baltimore. There are no more words needed for that.
“… I’m so excited. I cannot wait to get out to the city and meet everybody.”
