Chuck Norris’ legacy will forever live on through his family.
The Walker, Texas Ranger star’s loved ones confirmed his March 19 death at the age of 86, sharing that he was “surrounded by his family and was at peace.”
“To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength,” they wrote in a March 20 Instagram post. “To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family.”
Chuck—who was born in Oklahoma and held black belts in karate, taekwondo, Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and judo—was a father five. He welcomed sons Mike Norris, 63, and Eric Norris, 60, with ex-wife and high school sweetheart Dianne Holechek, who he was married to from 1958 until 1989. He also shared 24-year-old twins Dakota Norris and Danilee Norris with model Gena O’Kelley, who he married in 1998.
During the ‘90s, Chuck learned that he was also father to Dina Norris DiCiolli, 61, who was born from an affair he had during his marriage to Dianne.
