British Psychological Erotic Thriller Sets Lead Cast

Upcoming psychological erotic thriller “Asphyxia” has set its lead cast.

The British feature, from co-writer/director/producer Martin Law (“Reputation”) is moving into production, and will star Genevieve Chenneour (“Bridgerton”), Ola Rapace (“Skyfall”), Lewis Jamison (“Trigger Point)”, Kathryn Lincoln (“A Murder in Venice”) and Anna Wilson-Jones (“Victoria”).

“Asphyxia” is set at an isolated writers’ retreat and follows Abby Gilbert (Chenneour), a troubled novelist battling trauma and hallucinations, who joins Dr. Bennett’s (Rapace) elite retreat at a remote Georgian estate. Among the assembled authors, Abby is drawn into an unsettling orbit with charismatic Callum (Jamison) and enigmatic Kat (Lincoln), as buried truths and dark desires surface.

Co-written by American screenwriter Kimberly Britt, “Asphyxia” is described as a taut, atmospheric, sensually charged thriller that explores identity versus anonymity, trust versus betrayal, creative obsession and shifting power dynamics. Law produces “Asphyxia” through his own independent production company Factory Noir. Law is the sole producer on the film, with Mark Robert Coleman serving as executive producer and Richard Parkinson as associate producer.

Law’s debut feature “Reputation,” a gritty crime drama starring James Nelson-Joyce (“This City Is Ours”) and Kyle Rowe (“The Devil’s Hour” ), told the story of working-class drug dealer who begins to question his life choices when an old friend is released from prison. It screened at international film festivals and received a nomination for Best Independent Film at the National Film Awards UK. “Reputation” released digitally in the U.K. in July 2025 and the U.S. in September 2025 by Trinity Content Partners. Law also directed the 2023 short “Vacant.”

“Asphyxia” will begin filming March 2026. International distribution rights are currently available.
